Literature Text

She poked slowly and carefully at the six
On the enormous white porcelain.
It rocked back and forth, and she felt sick.
Portions
Screaming in her mind, she was hypnotized.
Swirling in rich reds and pale pinks,
The lonely six sat on a white ice, paralyzed.
Think.
Contorted, gnarled, tangled whispers.
Lovely addiction twisted enough for rehab.
Emptiness that makes the sweet so bitter.
Stab.
Blood oozing from the six, pooling on the glass.
Tongs buried painfully, hesitating.
Slicing, tearing, pulling apart the red mass.
Devastating.
Sorrow and weakness welling in her eyes,
She lifts a small piece of the six to her lips.
Staining skin red as she opens and cries.
Rip.
Through with teeth so reluctant,
Grind and puree in a burst of flavor.
Her starving purity has been corrupted.
Savor.
The taste for it will be the only
Nutrition you get, she thinks with eyes blurry
She swallows and sobs, so lonely.
Strawberry
0.9 grams of sugar,
28 milligrams of potassium,
0.4 grams of fiber,
0 milligrams of sodium.
Six calories, and that's all she deserves.
Stomach empty, trembling lips,
She curls in, shedding tears, and running on reserves.
Six.
A poem I worked on while I was locked up in the hospital. I've gotten in the habit of writing what's on my mind, and this has been for ages.

Very deep, and surprising. I didn't get what it was totally about until the end. I think writing is a good outlet for your; I know it used to help me (:
